Accounting & Controlling Manager | Energy Infrastructure

Ready to take full ownership of financial operations across borders, in a sector that's reshaping how Europe powers itself?

Are you a finance professional who thrives in complexity without losing precision? Someone who sees a multi-entity structure and thinks "I've got this" rather than "where do I start"? Someone who wants real autonomy, cross-border exposure, and a role where your controlling work directly enables project execution?

About the company

Our partner is a growing energy infrastructure company based in Brussels, active across multiple European markets. You're not building from scratch, you're taking ownership and taking it further. Expect a hands-on, international environment with high autonomy and a front-row seat to infrastructure projects supporting Europe's energy transition.

Role & responsibilities as Accounting & Controlling Manager

  • Own the full financial reporting cycle (month-end, quarter-end, year-end) for Belgian entities and SPVs, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely delivery across the group
  • Control capex across projects: work closely with project teams to identify financial risks early, reconcile actuals against budgets, and deliver clear variance analysis to stakeholders
  • Manage day-to-day accounting operations including balance sheet reconciliations, statutory reporting, VAT returns,...
  • Oversee treasury and cash flow reporting and coordinate with finance counterparts across European entities
  • Identify process improvements and implement them: the foundation is there, your job is to sharpen it.

You bring precision to complexity and ownership to everything you touch.

Your profile

  • Master's degree in Finance, Accountancy, or equivalent
  • 5+ years of experience in accounting and/or controlling roles
  • Fluent in English plus French or Dutch
  • Experience with ERP software

What's on offer

  • Gross annual salary up to €85.000, depending on experience
  • Mobility package or company car
  • Meal vouchers
  • Group insurance and health insurance
  • 25 vacation days
  • 2 days remote work per week
  • Laptop and mobile provided
  • High autonomy with real impact on processes and decisions
  • Cross-border exposure across Europe
  • Involvement in infrastructure projects tied to Europe's carbon reduction goals
  • Clear advancement potential toward senior finance positions within a growing organization
